50 YEAR ANNIVERSARY - Growing Together...Alamance County Meals on Wheels delivers over 100,000 meals a year to homebound seniors in our county. From 2016 to 2021, our agency grew by 81%. We're now serving 525 seniors in our community and our client list continues to climb. Meals on Wheels has reached capacity at our current space. In order to continue serving the growing senior population our agency needs to expand our current office to address the increasing demand.
Our new office will include:Volunteer Lounge / Training Room
Food Pantry Pet Food / Client Birthday Gift Storage Room Individual Staff Offices Reception Area To Greet Volunteers Commercial Appliances / Kitchen Expansion Updated Conference Room Why Expand?Expanding will allow the capability to serve over500 meals a day by giving our seniors access to high-quality meals and daily interaction with caring volunteers. This will allow space for additional staff as our program continues to grow.
